LaSalle Cisco Networking Exam Preparation

Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP®) validates knowledge and skills required to install, configure and troubleshoot converged local and wide area networks with 100 to 500 or more nodes. With a CCNP certification, a network professional demonstrates the knowledge and skills required to manage the routers and switches that form the network core, as well as edge applications that integrate voice, wireless, and security into the network. The CCNP curriculum includes building scalable Cisco networks, Cisco multilayer switched networks, securing converged wide area networks, and optimizing converged networks.

Building Scalable Networks – 40 Hours

This course prepares students for the knowledge and skills necessary to use advanced IP addressing and routing in implementing scalable and secure Cisco ISR routers connected to LANs and WANs.

Building Multilayer Switched Networks - 40 Hours

This course prepares students to be a successful candidate with important knowledge and skills necessary to plan, configure and verify the implementation of complex enterprise switching solutions using Cisco’s Campus Enterprise Architecture. This course also covers secure integration of VLANs, WLANs, voice, and video into campus networks.

Implementing Secure Converged Wide Area Networks – 40 Hours

This course will ensure that the successful candidate has important knowledge and skills necessary to (1) plan and perform regular maintenance on complex enterprise routed and switched networks and (2) use technology-based practices and a systematic ITIL-compliant approach to perform network troubleshooting.

Optimizing Converged Cisco Networks – 40 Hours

This course prepares students with the knowledge of the architecture, components, functionalities, and features of Cisco Unified Communications solutions. The student will also gain the knowledge needed to perform tasks such as system monitoring, moves, additions and changes on Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express, Cisco Unity Connection, and Cisco Unified Presence.
